Boozy Chocolate Cinnamon Sauce Recipe

Delightfully decadent

1 pound semisweet chocolate, chopped

1 stick butter

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/4 cup bourbon

Simmer the chopped chocolate and stick of butter in a double boiler (or a substitute for the double boiler), stirring occasionally with a spatula until smooth and melted. Be careful not to allow the water to boil, as steam or water will cause the chocolate to seize. In a separate heavy-bottomed pan, scald milk and cream together with cinnamon. Add the milk, cream and cinnamon mixture to the chocolate and butter mixture and stir. Blend in bourbon.
